Caramel Custard

It was the day to eat something sweet. I decided on caramel custard from a recipe passed on by my aunt Mamta. The caramel turnd out quite alright. I was making it in the microwave you see!

Once the custard was made and poured on to the caramel, it looked good. But then, once the baking started, things started going wrong! It looked HIDEOUS when I took it out of the microwave with spots and lumps everywhere.. It was HILARIOUS !! Why do I keep getting these disastrous results with all my desserts :(    When I tried it though, it tasted really yummy :)

We had guests over few days back and mum said I’m in charge of the desserts! I decided to make two: Iced chocolate and a cake based one which had custard and raspberry jelly topping. The mint leaf finished the presentation. It was yum-yum (if I may say so myself J)

Mon cadeau d'anniversaire

I got a fish tank for my birthday !! Yipeeeee!
I have just two goldfishes right now called ‘ Fishy-fish-fish’ (how original! Heh…heh…) and Lou-lou ( crazy-crazy in French!). Behind the tank is my messy bookshelf and the 3D puzzle model of St. Basil’s Cathedral that I made for Mum. The fish probably think they are in Russia ! Heeeeee.  

Mon Anniversaire

For my birthday last week, I got to make my own cake! I decided that it would be in the shape of a cockatoo as I love cockatoos. I baked an Orange cake and splattered Vanilla frosting on top of it to give it a feathery texture. Rasins and some lollies made the eye and voila… it was done !  

The Handprint!

Hello people ! I’m back !! I am a really lazy blogger J.
I found a bowl of cooked rice the other day, and I just couldn’t resist pressing my hand into it and creating the… MYSTERIOUS handprint! As you may have probably guessed, Mum wasn’t too happy about it …heee…heee.

The wave of DOOM !!

I was busy practising the high jump today in my garden.I was H-O-P-E-L-E-S-S !! Conclusion : The only way to be good at this is to practise the art of levitation!!
